"I have worked with Dr. Razan Hamed at Columbia University for over four years.  She has excellent analytical skills, communicates compassionately and effectively with faculty and students, and she is passionate and committed to issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, belonging, and advocacy. I am excited that she has decided to lend her time and talent to the Association by running for the Board of Directors.  She has all the skills necessary to assist the Board with developing the mission, vision, values and strategic directions of the Association!"

Dr. Dawn Nilsen, EdD., OTR/L FAOTA Professor & Program Director-- Columbia University

"Dr. Razan Hamed has established herself as a leader in academia, clinical research, and behavioral health clinical work. In addition, she is truly “walking the walk” when it comes to all issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion." Dr. Glen Gillen, EdD., OTR/L FAOTA Professor-- Columbia University

"Razan opened my eyes to what Occupational Therapy is now and what it has the potential to be, both beyond the walls of graduate school and beyond the borders of the United States. She encourages future practitioners to pursue any research interest, no matter how seemingly far-fetched, and always has a door open for students in need of support. She is a leader in research, education, and equity, and has set a high bar for what I hope to become as an OT myself someday."
